The lack of a mortuary van or ambulance forced the authorities to transport a body in a garbage truck in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar. The man died after falling from a moving train. The incident highlights the poor condition of health infrastructure in parts of Madhya Pradesh. This is not the first incident of showing disrespect towards the dead in the state. The body of a middle-aged man was found in a field at Ghatiyabana in June 2018, his body too was carried in a similar way in a garbage truck.
