NEW DELHI: Light rain and strong winds are likely in the city on Wednesday and Thursday due to a Western disturbance in the region.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that the weather conditions wouldn’t be that pronounced on Wednesday night but added that some areas might face winds, thundershower and hailstorm.
The MeT has also forecast shallow or moderate fog in the morning followed by cloudy skies along with haze on Monday. The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 6 and 22 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Earlier, several parts of the Delhi- National Capital region had received hailstorm accompanied by rain lashed on February 7. Day temperature had gone down as a result in the city.Sunday too was a cold day as the minimum temperature was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season’s average. The maximum temperature was 21.6 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season’s average. The minimum and maximum temperatures had settled at 8.4 and 21 degrees Celsius on Saturday.Meanwhile, the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) deteriorated to 276 or ‘poor’ category in the city.
