Shop owner loses legs in blast, 3 hurt
tnn | Feb 12, 2019, 05:00 ISTKanpur: A 22-year-old welding shop owner lost his both legs, while three others suffered serious injuries when gas cylinder in a welding shop exploded in New Transport Nagar in Panki area of the city on Monday.
According to police, a blast took place in a gas welding shop of one Sonu of Bhau Singh village.
Four people including the shop owner-Sonu and three others suffered critical wounds in the incident. Sonu was rushed to Lala Lajpat Rai hospital, while three others were admitted to a private hospital.
“Sonu, welding shop owner lost his both legs, while three others including a 19-year-old girl identified as Moni, Jacky and Awdhesh, who were standing nearby the shop, sustained critical injuries. Further investigations are under way in this regard,” said SHO Panki further.
