Condition of farmers deteriorates under BJP rule: Chautala

Former on Monday hit out at the BJP-led NDA government claiming that condition of farmers in the country has become worse under its tenure.

"Like the Congress, the BJP too did not care about farmers due to which their condition has turned worse today, he said addressing party workers' meeting at the grain market at Ladwa in this district.

INLD, which is the main opposition in Haryana, received a severe drubbing in the Jind bypolls after which BSP walked out of alliance with them.

The Chautala led party's four of 17 MLAs have announced support to fledgling JJP.

Addressing the workers, Chautala claimed that the present political situation which prevails in the country is like that of 1977 and 1989, when the people had voted out the government.

"Now, the people will throw out the BJP government in the upcoming election, he said.

Speaking about BSP breaking its ties with INLD, Chautala said, "it is election time during which alliances are made and broken. We can make alliance with some party having like minded policies.

Without naming anyone, he said the efforts are being made to weaken the party but with the support of workers they would face the challenge and come out as winners.
