Woman tries to kill self at collectorate
TNN | Feb 12, 2019, 00:09 ISTCoimbatore: A 43-year-old woman from Rathinapuri attempted to commit suicide by consuming cow dung power at the collectorate on Monday.
A Maheswari consumed the poisonous substance shortly after she submitted a petition at the grievance day meeting.
Officials said that Maheswari has been taking care of the family after her husband became bed-ridden in 2017. “According to her petition, two people from whom her husband was said to have borrowed a huge amount, have been threatening to take possession of the house,” an official said. The petition was forwarded to Rathinapuri police station. TNN
