THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The additional chief judicial magistrate court – who heard the final arguments in one of the solar scam cases – is likely to pronounce judgment on February 13.
The case pertains to a petition filed by NRI businessman T C Mathew alleging that Saritha S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan duped him after taking a sum of Rs 1.05 crore as investment in a solar panel business scheme.
He then claimed that he gave money to Saritha and Biju Radhakrishnan for investment purposes as they were close to the then chief minister Oommen Chandy. He had first filed his complaint before Chandy, who ignored it, following which he filed a petition before the court. Mathew had also deposed as a witness before the judicial commission that probed the solar scam.
Meanwhile, the chief judicial magistrate too has completed the trial of Saritha and Radhakrishnan in connection with a forgery case a few days ago.
