The recently-listed Spencer’s Retail Ltd. posted a ₹1.5 crore profit on a ₹573 crore turnover during the quarter ended December 2018.
The company posted a ₹5.2 crore profit in the nine-month period ending December 2018, against a ₹2.5 crore loss a in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The RP-Sanjiv Goenka group company is a multi format retailer, providing a wide range of products, including FMCG, fashion, food, staples, personal-care and other consumer goods.
Shashwat Goenka, sector head,said that the revenue and profit growth of SRL was led by same store sales growth, new store addition and focus on gross margin expansion.
