HYDERABAD: Drive on the elevated 11.5 km long PVNR Expressway has turned bumpy and rough for motorists at various stretches . The Expressway connects Hyderabad International Airport at Shamshabad with Mehdipatnam.

At different places of the long stretch, there are rough stretches that makes difficult for the motorists to drive on the expressway.

The four-lane elevated expressway named after former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao which encompasses 327 spans, connects the Mehdipatnam area in the city to the Hyderabad-Bangalore National Highway (NH 7) en route to the international airport at Shamshabad. It was opened to traffic in October 2009.

Realising the hardships being faced by the motorists mostly four wheelers on the expressway, HMDA has decided to take up black topping of the entire Expressway duly removing the existing BT road (that made using bitumen) by milling process.
