The West Bengal Police has named Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mukul Roy in the FIR regarding the murder of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Satyajit Biswas. Mukul Roy is a former TMC member of parliament. He joined the BJP last year.
TMC MLA Satyajit Biswas was shot dead on Sunday while he was attended an event organised on the eve of Saraswati Pooja.
The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress has blamed the BJP for the murder. However, the BJP said Mamata is herself responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
