Rock band The Local Train concludes Bennett University's Uphoria

While the highlight of the first day of Uphoria, the annual cultural festival of Bennett University, were DJs Zaeden and Olly Esse, its final day witnessed many exciting events and was brought to a close by The Local Train. The rock band's performance was preceded by the Prom Night.

The day began with a Tech Hunt, which was followed by a nukkad-natak competition among different colleges of Delhi-NCR. Neeraj Uppalapati, a third-year BTech student, told us, "We had six teams from different colleges in Delhi-NCR participating, and students really enjoyed the event. There was also a group dance competition, and this was a better year for us because we had participation from different colleges for this as well."
Another event which had all the students excited was the Prom Night. Boys dressed in their formal best while the girls were clad in shimmering gowns and dresses. They danced with their friends and prom partners before the stage was taken over by stand-up comic Karunesh Talwar. "I came to the prom with my friends, but it was still romantic to see all those who turned up with their prom partners," said Abhimanyu Sharma, a second-year student of BA Journalism & Mass Communication.

Rock band The Local Train sang most of their compositions and the students not only cheered for the band, but also crooned with them. Before concluding their performance, lead vocalist Raman Negi told the students, "So who are the Mr and Miss Prom? There might be only two winners, but let me tell you that you all look dapper tonight. Thank you for having us here."
