Indore: Mayor Malini Gaud on Saturday said Indore Municipal Corporation is finding it difficult to get funds under Smart City Project after Congress formed government in the state. Addressing mediapersons on sidelines of foundation laying function of Multipurpose Art Complex at MG Road, Gaud said, “We didn’t get funds given to state government under Smart City Project for last two months. After change of state government, we are getting regular fund from the central government but not from (Congress-led) state government.”
She said lack of funds will affect development works under Smart City Project. “We will meet chief minister Kamal Nath soon to discuss the fund release,” she said. ‘Jyada ucchal kood karne lage he’ Mayor targeted Indore Municipal Corporation leader of opposition Fouziya Shaikh Aleem and said Congress leaders have become hyper active after Congress government came to power in the state. “Sarkar aane ke baad se zyada ucchal kood kar rahe he,” Gaud remarked about Congress corporators. Referring to press conference held by leader of opposition on Tuesday and meeting at Jawahar Marg, Gaud advised Fouziya Shaikh Aleem to “maintain decorum and decency since she is opposition.” Gaud said Congress leaders should act as per rules and stay in limit.
