The third generation Opel (Vauxhall in the UK) Vivaro was presented online not long ago. It will go on sale in Europe in February and will be followed by an electric version next year.

Closely related to the Citroen Jumpy, Peugeot Expert and Toyota Proace, the new Vivaro is available in three different lengths: 4.60 m (181.1 in), 4.95 m (194.9 in) and 5.30 m (208.7 in).

By choosing the longest version of the van, users will be able to stow objects of up to 4.02 meters (158.3 in) long inside. This model has a cargo capacity of 6.6 cubic-meters (233 cu-ft), accessible through the rear doors or sliding side door, and a 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs) payload, 200 kg (441 lbs) more than before. Moreover, towing capacity is now up to 2,500 kg (5,512 lbs).

Just like the platform chassis, crew cab with space for up to six occupants or Combi people carrier, the Vivaro panel van promises a car-like interior equipped with a lot of features. The 7-inch infotainment is offered in the mid-range Sportive and top-of-the-line Elite and comes with navigation system and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

New safety features have been added and drivers will be aided by Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Drowsiness Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.

In the United Kingdom, prices range between £21,240 ($27,805/€24,301) and £25,540 ($33,434/€29,221) for the base Edition and range-topping Elite, excluding tax.
