Another JMB terrorist in cop net

Picture used for representational purpose onlyKOLKATA: Another member of the banned Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) was arrested by the Kolkata Police's Special Task Force (STF) near Sealdah railway station late on Friday.
The STF claimed that Monirul Islam (42) was an associate of JMB top terrorist Jahidul Islam alias Bomaru Mizan alias Kausar. Monirul was involved in the Bodh Gaya blasts on January 19, 2018. He hails from Raghunathgunj in Murshidabad and had joined JMB in 2010.
Monirul's arrest comes days after the STF arrested JMB terrorist Abdul Sattar from Mallapuram in Kerala. Sattar was allegedly involved in the Khagragarh blast in West Bengal's Burdwan district on October 2, 2014.
Cops might have got Monirul's details from Sattar. The STF and security agencies in India went on high alert after JMB chief Salahuddin Salehin recently said that a wing of the outfit will be established in India. This will be called Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen India (JMI). So far, at least six JMB terrorists, including Monirul, have been rounded up by the STF for their role in the Bodh Gaya blast.
