PM Narendra Modi to launch metro rail line in Chennai today

Chennai Metro Rail (File photo)CHENNAI: PM Modi will inaugurate the last leg of Chennai Metro Rail's phase I connecting Washermenpet and AG-DMS through videoconference from Tirupur on Sunday.
The PM, who will take a chopper to Tirupur after flying into Coimbatore, will also address a BJP rally in Tirupur. Governor Bhanwarilal Purohit and CM Palaniswami will receive the PM at the airport. Modi will also lay foundation for a terminal building in Trichy airport, modernization of Chennai airport and ESIC hospital in Tirupur.
