BHOPAL: Launching vitriolic attack on Chief Minister Kamal Nath over frequent transfers, Leader of Opposition Gopal Bharagava alleged that Chief Minister Kamal Nath is raising fund for the Congress for Lok Sabha elections by transferring officials in the name of making change in set up. He claimed that officials are being assigned targets and if they fail to achieve it, they are transferred, in cases even thrice in a month. It has brought about to administrative chaos in the state, he added.
Bharagava claimed, “CM is engaged in transfers and postings of officials instead of focusing on development. Transfers list are bring released on a daily basis and due to this practice, entire administration is collapsed. Frequent transfers discouraged officials. Middle men have become active. Honest officials are feeling humiliated and harassed. “People want to know if it justify slogan “Waqt Hai Badlao Ka”? (it is time to change). Politics’ main objective is to give leadership so that administration would fulfill public expectations. Administration boosts development. But Kamal Nath government has transferred over 800 officials, he alleged.
BJP turned transfers into business
Congress media coordinator Narendra Saluja said, “Transfers of officials is normal routine. Earlier it had become a business in the last 15 years BJP regime and it had collapsed the administrative set-up. BJP does not have moral right to raise the finger. With taking over charge as CM, Kamal Nath cracked a whip at corruptions and nexuses. Now there is not place of middle men. One can direct talks to higher ups.”
