Fire breaks out in two fishing boats
TNN | Feb 11, 2019, 04:00 ISTRajkot: Two fishing boats caught fire in mid-sea off Veraval and Jafrabad coasts in the past 24 hours.
The first incident was reported from Veraval, where the Tej Kiran boat had caught fire due to a technical snag in its engine on Saturday afternoon.
“Six fishermen aboard the burning boat were rescued by the fishermen on the nearby fishing boat,” said an official from Somnath marine police station.
The second incident was reported from Shiyal Bet near Jafrabad coast on Sunday afternoon, where a fishing boat had caught fire. “All the fishermen on board the burning boat were rescued by other fishermen fishing nearby on their boat,” said an official from Jafrabad marine police station.
