Bhopal: State capital recorded drop of 7.8 degree Celsius in minimum temperature (night temperature) on intervening night of Thursday-Friday infusing much chill in atmosphere. Icy wind shivered the state capital. Minimums all over the state dropped between 4 and 8 degree Celsius. Cold wave like conditions would prevail over parts of MP. Drop in day temperature were also recorded in the state.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 23.3 degree Celsius which was 4 degree Celsius below normal. Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 21.8 degree Celsius which was 6.8 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 7.4 degree Celsius which was 3.8 degree Celsius below normal. There was drop of 5.6 degree Celsius in minimum temperature.
Sheopur recorded a drop of 6.8 degree Celsius while Guna recorded a drop of 6.7 degree Celsius and Sagar recorded a fall of 6.5 degree Celsius. Similarly, Datia and Damoh recorded a drop of 5 degree Celsius and Gwalior and Rajgarh recorded a drop of 5.7 degree Celsius.
According to meteorological department, cold wave is likely at Hoshangabad, Ujjain and Indore divisions while cold day condition is likely at Ujjain and Indore divisions. Minimum as well as maximum temperature will continue to reduce in the next couple of days. Icy wind blowing due to snow fall in Jammu and Kashmir has infused the chill in weather of MP.
