Modi leaves for Arunachal in first leg of NE tour

Guwahati, Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Arunachal Pradesh from Guwahati this morning, in the first leg of his tour of three North Eastern states.

Modi, who had spend the night at Raj Bhavan here, flew in his special plane to Lilabari airport in north Assam, from where he will take a chopper ride to Itanagar.

The prime minister will lay the foundation stone for several projects, including construction of Greenfield Airport at Hollongi, construction of Sela Tunnel, and a permanent campus of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) at Jote.

A New dedicated DD Channel, for Arunachal Pradesh – DD Arun Prabha, will be launched by the PM.Modi will also dedicate 110 MW Pare Hydroelectric Plant in Arunachal Pradesh to the nation and will inaugurate the upgraded Tezu Airport in Arunachal Pradesh. He will also declare 100 per cent household electrification in Arunachal Pradesh under Saubhagya Scheme.

From Itanagar, Modi will return to Guwahati and attend a public rally at Changsari on the outskirts of the city and launch different developmental projects.He, will then leave for Tripura for the late leg of his NE trip.
