A woman has been found dead after she was fatally shot at a semi-rural residence in Brisbane's southern suburbs.
Police and paramedics attended the incident at a property on Wembley Road, Karawatha, around 3am on Saturday.
The female victim, who is believed to have been shot in the head, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbours heard two gun shots around 10pm on Friday night, The Courier Mail reported.
A man who was at the residence, and is known to the woman, is currently assisting Queensland police with inquires.
Police have shut down nearby roads as officers continue to investigate the crime scene.
Forensic personnel and homicide detectives are believed to still be at the scene.

The property is situated near to Karawatha State Forest and an industrial estate.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area and has dash-cam footage to contact them.
