Blue 1972 Ferrari Dino In RHD Could Fetch As Much As $360,000

A well-conditioned and very rare 1972 Ferrari Dino 246GT Coupe will end up in the hands of the highest bidder on February 23 at Silverstone Auctions’ event.

This is believed to be one of only two or three examples finished in Azzuro Dino, as well as one of only 235 UK right-hand drive 246GTs, and experts think that it can fetch anywhere between £240,000 ($310,000) and £280,000 ($362,000).

“This stunning E-Series Dino has to be one of the most original and unmolested 246GTs anywhere,” said Silverstone Auctions exec Guy Lees-Milne. “The Dino is a very popular model among Ferrari enthusiasts, and given that this example is one of so few finished in the stunning Azzuro Dino blue and has been Classiche awarded, it’s a perfect example for collectors.”

Features include a Nero leather interior and optional radio, nose bar and electric windows. Since its delivery in December 1971, the car has had four keepers and has amassed a total of 51,786 miles (83,341 km).

In 1991, a major overhaul was performed, comprised of an engine rebuild and a fresh coat of paint. Last year, the suspension and brakes, as were other minor parts, were upgraded for a cost of almost £10,000 ($12,945).

The car’s next owner will also end up with a Classiche ‘Certificato di Autenticita’ (Certificate of Authenticity) issued on July 25, 2016, placed inside a a bespoke red box with an enamel badge.
