HISAR: Hisar police booked a man for allegedly raping his 13-year-old his niece for over six months. The police have started investigations in the case but not made any arrests so far.
Hisar police spokesperson Harish Bhardwaj said a case was registered on the complaint of rape survivor under sections 376(2)(n) (commit rape repeatedly on the same woman) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assaul) and 21 (false complaint and false information) of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. Three other men have also been booked in the case for concealing evidence.
In her complaint, the minor girl told cops that in June last year, when she had gone to a grocery store near her uncle’s house, he had raped her there. She said she did not tell anyone about the incident out of fear. Emboldened by her silence, the accused raped her again six months later, in December, when she was on her way to meet a friend. She said her uncle met her on the way and took her to a farm, where he raped her.
The girl claimed the accused repeated the crime about a week ago, at his house when he had his friends over. She said his friends had come to her, saying her neighbour was looking for her. When she went there, the accused was waiting for her. She said he tool her to a room and raped her there. Later, he gave her some tablets to ease her stomach pain.
Though the girl did not get any relief, her mother saw the tablets at home and asked her about them. Quizzed, the girl told her mother everything and was brough to the police station to report the matter.
