PATNA: Union home minister Rajnath Singh will hold an interactive session with the ‘prabuddha varg (intellectual sections)’ at Adhiveshan Bhavan here on Saturday as part of the BJP’s mass outreach programme. Rajnath will seek suggestions from the gathering regarding preparation of the BJP’s manifesto for the parliamentary election.
Singh will then leave for Dalsingsarai in Samastipur district to address a meeting of the members of the panchayat and booth level Shakti Kendras from Ujiarpur parliamentary constituency, as well as those from Samastipur, Begusarai and Khagaria districts.
“The concept of organizing meeting of workers from a cluster of four districts and also the intellectual sections is aimed at strengthening the party at the booth level,” state BJP spokesman and former MLA Prem Ranjan Patel said. The cluster meetings and interactive sessions with the intellectual sections have already been held at Motihari, Chhapra, Bikramganj, Bihta, Gaya and Purnia.
Party sources said doctors, retired judges, officials, army personnel, teachers and lawyers would participate in Saturday’s meeting with Rajnath here.
