LUCKNOW: A long Metro ride could mean a complete outing for commuters as eight Metro stations on the route from Chaudhary Charan Singh airport to Munshipulia will have food courts, coffee shops and convenience stores.
Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has introduced these facilities under its property development project on the 23km northsouth corridor.
While the food courts will offer fast food options, commuters can enjoy coffee, tea and light snacks from the proposed coffee outlets. From the convenience stores, commuters will be able to purchase stationery, magazines and newspapers.
As of now, Charbagh Metro station has a food court. More facilities will be added here.
The three prominent stations of Charbagh, Hazratganj and Sachivalya will have all three facilities of food court, coffee outlets and shops.
LMRC managing director Kumar Keshav said, “We have chosen eight Metro stations for property development. Currently, the tendering process is under way. If footfall rises, we would plan to give these facilities at other stations as well.”
