APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy called upon all non-BJP parties to observe Sunday as black day, to protest against the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the State.
Talking to the media in New Delhi after attending a meeting of the PCC presidents convened by AICC president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy wondered how Mr. Modi could face the people of Andhra Pradesh without implementing the bifurcation promises.
The PCC chief said there was overwhelming response to the party’s call for applications from the aspirants. The list of candidates would be announced by the end of February, he said.
Mr. Raghuveera Reddy said that Mr. Gandhi would campaign in all the States till March first week. A Congress Working Committee meeting would be held in A.P., he added.
