Mario Dedivanovic unveiled Tatcha's new face cream as he did Kim Kardashian West's makeup live during his Master Class in L.A.
Makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, who has worked with Kim Kardashian West for more than a decade, is constantly at the forefront of beauty’s biggest trends. And according to him, right now, dewy skin is in. He also let us in on a little secret: to get his clients’ gorgeous glow, he’s been using a product that’s not even on shelves—yet.
Dedivanovic tells PEOPLE exclusively that his current must-have moisturizer for achieving a radiant look is Tatcha’s brand new The Dewy Skin Cream, which he debuted live onstage during his Master Class in L.A. on Feb. 9. His model? None other than Kardashian West herself.
Dedivanovic says the moisturizer, which launches on March 1 for $68 and features algae from Okinawa, as well as botanical extracts to hydrate and plump the skin, is “the perfect base for makeup, as it leaves the skin with a rich, healthy glow.”

The self-proclaimed “old school” artist also reveals that he prefers moisturizer as a base over primer, because “makeup just doesn’t adhere the way I want it to,” when he uses the latter, he says.

Particularly, when he applies this cream “all over the face and neck” Dedivanovic finds that makeup is able to “soak into the skin rather than just lay on top.”
Tatcha’s new moisturizer was partially inspired by Dedivanovic and Kardashian West’s longtime love of the brand’s best-selling Luminous Dewy Skin Mist.
“Tatcha is so chic and such great quality skincare. I’m flattered [the moisturizer was inspired in part by me],” Dedivanovic said.
“I’m a big fan of applying face sprays and mists after makeup is complete, and The Dewy Skin Mist leaves the most perfect natural glow on the skin,” explained the pro of how he originally fell in love with Tatcha’s option,
These days, when Dedivanovic uses the brand’s new Dewy Skin Cream in tandem with the mist (spritzing it on a sponge then gently patting the completed look) he says it creates a truly luminous finish.
