Police wing for financial crimes formed

Picture for representational purpose only.NOIDA: Gautam Budh Nagar police finally got its own economic offences wing (EOW) consisting of 15 inspector-rank officers.
The EOW will handle special cases falling in category of organised crime of economic nature, under the overall supervision of SP (city) or circle officer (Noida I) in city area and SP (rural) or circle officer (Greater Noida I) in rural area, a statement said.
Also, two more six-member teams — Star I and Star II — have been formed to investigate recurring criminal activities, including murder, snatching, loot, the GB Nagar police said in a statement. TNN
