Customized Corvette ZR1 Looks Like A Tiger Ready To Pounce

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is one of the most extreme and menacing production vehicles currently on the market. Its performance may be completely inaccessible on the street, but it has looks to kill – and this particular ZR1 could be the craziest of them all.

The most obvious difference between this ZR1 and stock ones is a distinctive wrap that combines satin black with bright red accents. Such a design certainly won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but it definitely gives the car a special character and makes it stand out from other ZR1s even if they sport a flashy paint job like, say, yellow.

To make the car look even better, Strasse Wheels was recruited by the owner to design and fit a special set of wheels. Dubbed the SV1 Deep Concave FS, these rims come complete with gloss black centers, gloss black lips, and gloss black barrels. Playing in to the whole red and black scheme are red screws on the outer rim and red brake calipers complement that look . The wheels measure 19×10.5 inch at the front and a remarkable 19×12.5 inches at the rear.

The C7 Corvette ZR1 is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged LT5 V8 with 755 hp and 715 lb-ft (968 Nm) of torque. This engine is enough to send the ZR1 through to absolutely extraordinary speeds and can even be purchased as a crate engine.

With the mid-engined C8 Corvette just around the corner, it appears as though the ZR1 will hold on to the title of the most potent C7 ever sold to the public.
