An accused who was arrested in a sexual abuse case has been ordered to undergo imprisonment under the Goondas Act.
According to the police, Venkatesan alias Balaji , 38, was detained by the Ranipet police for his involvement in a sexual abuse case.
Subsequently, District Collector S.A. Raman ordered for Balaji’s arrest for his involvement in several criminal cases in addition to sexual abuse.
Based on this, the police lodged Balaji in the Vellore Central Prison.
