Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand, who essayed negative roles in a number of movies, was on Saturday found dead at his home in Mumbai in mysterious circumstances. He was 57.
Police has not ruled out suicide in the actor's death, even though no note was recovered from his home.
Mahesh Anand was last seen in Govinda-starrer 'Rangeela Raja', which released on January 18 this year.
Mahesh's body was found in a decomposed state at his residence in Andheri's Yaari Road, police said. The body was later sent to the nearby Cooper Hospital for post-mortem.
Mahesh Anand had been living alone as his wife stays in Moscow, police added.
The actor appeared in several hit movies of the 1990s, including Shahenshah (1988), Coolie No 1 (1995), Swarg (1990), Kurukshetra (2000) and Vijeta (1996) and shared screen space with top stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Govinda and Sanjay Dutt.
