‘I killed her because she blackmailed me for sex’
TNN | Feb 10, 2019, 04:00 ISTRajkot: In a sensational revelation, the accused, arrested for the murder of a 20-year-old woman in an oil factory in Wankaner on Thursday, told cops that he had sexual relations with the woman and that as she was blackmailing him for sex. So, he had killed her.
The accused, identified as Dhiraj Ahir (30), had hacked Kavita Chauhan (20) to death with an axe in Surya Oil And Agro Industries on Morbi Road in Wankaner on Thursday evening. After killing Chauhan, Ahir stood there with the axe till the cops arrived.
During interrogation, Ahir told the cops that he had sexual relations with Chauhan. As he was married with two kids, he wanted to ensure secrecy about the relationship. Ahir had been working as the factory manager for the past five years, while Chauhan had joined the factory one year ago.
According to his statement, Ahir and Chauhan had been in a relationship since six months. They would often have sex in the empty spaces of the factory. However, according to Ahir, Chauhan became demanding and started mounting pressure on Ahir. She would call him up at her whims to have sex with her.
“On the day of the crime, one of Ahir’s sons was ill at the hospital and Ahir was attending to him. When Chauhan called him up and asked him to come to have sex with her at the factory, Ahir expressed his inability. This made Chauhan angry and she threatened to expose her relationship with Ahir before the factory owner. She said that it would cost Ahir his job. Tired of this, Ahir decided to murder her,” said an official from Wankaner police station.
