7 of gang arrested for bank robbery

ROHTAK: Days after a bank robbery, police arrested seven members of Bawan gang on Thursday night and seized seven pistols and live cartridges from their possession. The accused were produced in a court on Friday and sent to judicial custody.

Rohtak superintendent of police Jashandeep Singh Randhawan said the accused are wanted for murder, attempt to murder, loot, dacoity and om over a dozen other criminal cases. They had robbed Mahindra Kotak bank here recently and were arrested on a tip-off that they were planning another robbery at Delhi road petrol pump.


The arrested accused include Ritik alias Masher, Mohit alias Sarpanch, Deepak alias Neeraj, Ravi alias Dudhiya, Arjun alias Shera, Sandeep alias Bunty and Manish alias Gullu, all residents of Rohtak, Jhajjar and Sonipat districts.
