Teachers’ assn leader injured in road accident

Kilimanoor: State general secretary of Kerala Pradesh School Teachers Association, M Salahudeen, sustained serious injuries after he met with a road accident on Friday night. He is a resident of Vavarambalam near Pothencode here. The accident occurred under Kilimanoor police station limits while he was returning home after attending a conference in Kottayam district.

According to police, the mishap took place around 11pm on Friday at Shilpa Junction near Kilimanoor. His Maruti Ertiga car collided head on with a tourist bus that was going from Technopark. The front portion of the car was completely destroyed in the impact .


Salahudeen was first rushed to Gokulam Medical College Hospital at Venjarammoodu. Later, he was shifted to KIMS Hospital at Venpalavattom in the city.


Sources close to Salahudeen said his condition was out of danger. His legs have been fractured.


Salahudeen is the headmaster of Government UP School, Pothencode.
