Best dressed this week: Alia Bhatt and Karisma Kapoor

Alia Bhatt is on fire these days! This week alone, the actor made close to seven public appearances alongside Ranveer Singh to promote her new film Gully Boy, and each ensemble she stepped out in made a statement in a unique way. Two of Bhatt’s coolest looks this week: that shimmering silver jacket + trousers set by London-based label Fyodor Golan, and a pair of patent leather pants, which she wore with a cropped top and a pair of ebony brothel creeper shoes by Buffalo.

While Bhatt experimented with different aesthetics over the past seven days, Kareena Kapoor Khan caught our attention by doing what she does best: making a strong case for casual wear. This time around, Kapoor Khan reinvented the basic shirt + jeans combo by picking a blue slogan shirt by DSquared2, which she paired with ebony jeans and tied into a knot to show a sliver of those hard-earned abs. Joining Kapoor Khan on this week’s Best Dressed list was her older sister Karisma Kapoor, who showed Peter Pilotto’s work love once again in a printed boho dress, which she matched with black boots. While the Kapoor sisters went the laid-back route this week with their wardrobes, others from the industry used their most recent outings to give formal wear a new spin. Both Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra opted for pantsuits recently, but you’d be way off mark if you thought they picked predictable, office-ready versions in black, grey or navy blue. While Kaif  stepped out in Mumbai wearing a cream-coloured pantsuit which featured a cropped blazer, Chopra turned heads in NYC in a fun floral version of the power staple by Ermanno Scervino.
