Regions of Himachal Pradesh have been receiving heavy snowfall lately. The snowfall has reportedly triggered a number of avalanches across the region. On February 7, one such avalanche hit the apple orchards of Barang village in Kinnaur. The incident is estimated to have a bad effect on the local people's livelihoods.
