A truck driver dressed in high-vis and another man dressed in all black stood off on the median strip of the busy highway, Nine News reported.

As the fight progressed, the truck driver armed himself with a crowbar as the men continued the brawl on the road.

The truck driver then wrestled his opponent to the ground and held him there.

Other men had to step in and hold the pair away from each other as they continue to trade blows before the incident ended.

Authorities rushed to the scene about 9.20am but by the time they arrived the men had fled the scene.

'Two vehicles left prior to police arriving,' a police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia.
