BHOPAL: This led to sharp drop of day temperature on Thursday and it fell up to 7 degree Celsius in the state. Now minimum temperature is likely to drop to normal. Icy wind is likely to lash state next couple of days. Bhopal recorded a drop of 4.4 degree Celsius. It recorded maximum temperature of 26.4 degree Celsius which was just below normal while it recorded minimum temperature of 16.4 degree Celsius which was 4.4 degree Celsius above normal. On Wednesday, the day temperature was 30.8 degree Celsius.
Indore recorded a drop of 6.6 degree Celsius. It recorded a maximum temperature of 24 degree Celsius which was 4.6 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 13 degree Celsius which was 1.8 degree Celsius above normal. On Wednesday, day temperature was 30.6 degree Celsius. It shows that there was drop of 6.6 degree Celsius.
Ujjain recorded a drop of 7 degree Celsius and Guna recorded fall of 5 degree Celsius while Hoshangabad recorded drop of 5.2 degree Celsius and Rajgarh recorded 6 degree Celsius drop. Those areas which also experienced include Rewa, Jabalpur, Sagar, Shahdol, Gwalior-Chambal divisions. Warning has issued for rain and hailstorms at various districts like Gwalior,Chambal, Bhopal, Rewa, Sagar and Shahdol divisions. Change in weather is due to moisture feeding from Arabian Sea.
According to meteorological department, these weather activities have occurred in association with a confluence zone present over central and eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh and humid winds converging over MP from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. After 24 hours, from tomorrow icy cold winds are expected to start blowing over Madhya Pradesh. Minimums will fall further over the western and eastern parts of the state.
