Chennai: Tamil Nadu Finance Minister O Panneerselvam presented the state budget on Budget on Friday. He announced that the Tamil Nadu government will be establishing a new government arts and science college in Rameswaram in 2019-2020, which will be named after late President APJ Abdul Kalam.
The budget for 2019-20 was started in the House at 10:00 am.
The state Finance Minister started the session with Thirukural and praised the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for her policy based decisions. He highlighted the achievements and milestones happened in Tamil Nadu during the AIADMK governance.
