Rahul Gandhi will attend the event
BHOPAL: The Congress ministers have been told by the party to bring three to 30 buses filled with people in the farmers rally been organised on Friday. The AICC national president Rahul Gandhi will attend the programme. The Congress party had made huge arrangements to organise the farmer’s thanks giving rally at Jamboree Maidan. The party had erected the huge tent at the Maidan, installed LED screens and had made the sitting arrangements for two lakh people.
The state media president Sobha Oza said, “This is the party’s programme and not even a single rupee of the government will be spent on the programme”. She added that “The programme is been organised to give thanks to the farmers for seating the Congress party in the government. Over 2 lakh people from all over the state will participate in the programme. ” She said that the party president may announce new scheme or programme during his address on Friday.
She informed that the president had made announcements while attending meetings in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. To bring people in the rally, the party had given the targets to the ministers about the number of buses to be brought by them. The ministers had to bring the people from their in-charge districts as wells as from their constituency. The target is ranges between three buses and 30 buses.
Medical education minister Vijaya Laxmi Sadho had been given a target to bring 20 buses from her district. Similarly water resource minister Hukam Singh Karada has to bring 30 buses load of people, the general administration minister Dr Govind Singh has to bring 30 buses and minister commercial tax Brijendra Singh Rathore has to bring in three buses full of farmers.
BJP rebel leader Ramkrishna Kusumaria others to join Congress today
BHOPAL: A number of BJP leaders including party’s former MP Ramkrishna Kusumaria are all set to join Congress in presence of party national president Rahul Gandhi on Friday at the BHEL Jamboree Maidan. Gandhji, who is scheduled to address a farmers rally, would be felicitated for the farm loan waiver announced in the state.
Kusumaria informed Free Press that “I will be going to attend the rally of Rahul Gandhi and will join Congress in his presence.”Ex-minister Kusumaria, who contested as a rebel against the BJP candidate from two seats Damoh and Patharia in assembly polls, was expelled from the party. Neither he, nor BJP candidate won the two seats.
“On the day around 20,000 members of various parties from all across the state will also join the Congress,” claimed the former BJP leader. Kusumaria said that he met the Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Wednesday night and expressed his willingness to join party. “I am conducting a survey to choose the LS constituency, it could be either Damoh or the Khajuraho. Whereas people from Jabalpur also want me to contest the election from there,” informed the rebel BJP leader.
