As we enter Day 2 of the Valentine’s Day week, say hello to ‘Propose Day’. For those who may have been gawking to their calendar, waiting impatiently to use these 24 hours as the perfect time to make the bold move, let’s just take a moment and work up on how to not get friendzoned in case your love interest is your long-time friend.
The propose day is not restricted to marriage proposals but is open to anyone who wishes to ‘ask someone out’ and just mark a special day. If all goes well, you have a date and if it doesn’t it is completely OKAY!
So without further ado let’s dive into how to NOT get friendzoned on Propose Day 2019.
1 Suggest you have options
In order to avoid getting zoned you have to make the other person believe that you’re not desperate. Do not cling on to everything the other person does or accompany them everywhere they go. You do not wish to come across as a lonely being. Mentioning others in your life can suggest the other person’s behaviour and help you figure out how they feel for you.
2 Don’t be too obvious
Saying ‘I love you’ has become way too common and certainly has lost the meaning as well. Save your intense dialogue promo for a special moment. The more you repeat the less serious it gets.
3 Don’t be a pretend partner
Making plans? Well you cannot be a shopping cart or a go-to person every time they have no one. Stop being a shoulder to cry on or a therapist and buckle up as a hard to get person.

4 Do not be a submissive
No one likes a pushover. Having an agreement to everything the other has to say is not attractive. Not that an argument is. But a healthy debate and exchange of opinions can reveal a whole new side of the other. They key is good communication.
5 Be courageous
If you think you are being led in the friend zone but it lacks clarity, have the courage to speak up about it. The last thing you need is being taken for granted. If all goes well, ask them out on a date and if they say NO, simply move on. It is not the end of an era!
