Game of Thrones isn't the only HBO series ending this year. The pay cable network announced Friday that the final season of the political satire Veep will finally debut Sunday, March 31 at 10:30/9:30c. The Emmy-winning comedy starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, a million-time Emmy winner herself, will sign off with one last season of just seven episodes. Yes, seven. It's OK if you want to start crying already, because we are.

The show's final season, which was delayed so Louis-Dreyfus could undergo treatment for breast cancer, will find Selina Meyer (Louis-Dreyfus) attempting to make it back to the Oval Office. However, she'll be forced to deal with the fact her political career has been filled with more scandals than successes.

According to Louis-Dreyfus, who spoke with reporters at the Television Critics Association winter press tour via satellite on Friday, fans should not expect Selina to have evolved by the end of the show. "I'm not sure that evolution is her game," she said, noting that the character remains true to herself to the end.

However, the actress thinks fans might still be surprised before the show is over. "Where our show ends up ultimately is a place I'm very happy about, and I think it will surprise viewers too," she teased.

Veep's final season premieres Sunday, March 31 at 10:30/9:30c on HBO.
