Workplace wellness activities need to be designed to support healthy behavior in the workplace and improving health outcomes. Organizations need to prioritize employee well-being for high productivity and simultaneously work on the quality of life of every employee.

We are mindful towards employee wellbeing in all aspects of their lives. The idea is to have all our employees involved in the quest of their physical and mental well-being. Maintaining optimal health through the prevention of illness and disease, and proper training is how we aim to keep our team members on the path to premier performance. Through Health Progress program, Ingersoll Rand offers tools and information to help employees get and stay healthy.

Shirin Salis, Vice President, Human Resources at Ingersoll Rand, India says, “We encourage our employees to get active and incorporate health and wellness activities into their daily lives. Apart from regular wellness initiatives including training, daily tips, and counseling sessions available to our employees & their families through our employee assistance program, Ingersoll Rand engages employees in its exciting Health Progress program. Our Global challenge program is an annual 100-day physical activity challenge where Ingersoll Rand employees compete with each other and employees of other companies across the world. Employees sign up for the challenge in teams of seven and track their steps through a virtual journey around the world. This health initiative focusing on aspects like physical activity, nutrition, sleep and is an interesting way for our employees to take care of their health and strike the right work-life balance.”

Conduent Inc. believes the business is as healthy as its people and are focused on providing employees with the right tools and assistance to manage their health and well-being.

Lokesh Prasad, Chief Executive Officer – Asia Pacific, Conduent Inc. said, “Conduent India partnered with HCL Healthcare for a Workplace Wellness Program which became a baseline indicator for an individual’s health, and when aggregated at an organizational level provided an understanding of overall health of the organization. The program included medical check-ups and health consultations with specialist doctors. The findings were utilized to further analyze employees’ lifestyle choices and understand their health indicators. These have since been used in designing preventive health programs and fitness interventions to keep employees motivated and healthy at work.”

Lokesh further emphasized that Conduent supports a culture of well-being by promoting healthy lifestyles and preventive care which eventually helps create an environment where individuals are supported to become more engaged in managing their health and are likely to perform better at work.

Around the same lines, employees reaching their full potential both personally and professionally is of value for Ingersoll Rand. Ingersoll Rand offers three programs for flexible work arrangements. It includes flexible time, work from home, telecommuting. Ingersoll Rand also offers a corporate wellness program to its employees, which is a voluntary annual health check-up provided to all employees.
