PUNE: A 35-year-old man was bludgeoned to death by a group of men at Dapodi on late Tuesday afternoon over an old dispute between them. Bhosari police have filed a case of murder and riot against the group of men.
The deceased was identified as Sunil Vitthal Aarde of Dapodi.

Later in the night, police arrested four men identified as Rohit Bhimrao Manjarekar (24), his brother Rohit (30), Sandeep Manohar Jadhav (29) and Hrishikesh Hanumant Dhotre (26), all residents of Bopdi.

Aarde’s 16-year-old nephew has lodged a complaint with the Bhosari police station against the suspects.'

According to police, the deceased and the suspects had picked up a fight over the issue of common property located at Dapodi. The suspects were using the property as road to reach their houses. However, about two months ago, Aarde blocked the road and did not allow the suspects to use land as road.

The suspects were not happy with this development. On Tuesday, the group of men went to Aarde’s house. They were armed with sharp weapons and sticks. At first, they hurled abuses at Aarde and then dragged him out of his house. The suspects then assaulted him and bludgeoned him to death with a heavy stone.
