The Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel has finished upgrades to meeting rooms and public spaces.
The project saw the refurbishment of six event rooms, 20 breakout rooms and the addition of a seven-bedroom suite with a private dining area for small events or private parties. Restoration work has also been done on the central Palm Court and its stained glass roof.
At 150 years old it is Bristol’s oldest hotel, centrally located on Park Street next to Bristol Cathedral. Originally called the Royal Hotel, Marriott took over operations in 2004.
Its illustrious list of guests includes Queen Victoria, Charlie Chaplin, Cary Grant, Winston Churchill, and Laurel and Hardy.
The hotel includes a fitness centre with an indoor pool, gym and sauna, as well as a day spa. Miller and Carter Steakhouse opened their flagship restaurant inside the hotel in December 2018, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
