Man held with 6K intoxicant tablets
TNN | Feb 7, 2019, 07:15 ISTLudhiana: Khanna police arrested a drug peddler ON Tuesday and recovered 6,000 intoxicant capsules from his possession near the GT road in Khanna. The accused has been identified as Bir Singh of Dasoli in Noorpur of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.
SSP Khanna Dhruv Dahiya said the police had started a special campaign against drug trafficking and misdemeanors. He said during the campaign, a police party was present near the GT Road Alour.
The police said they saw a person going towards the Pristine Mall in Khanna after descending from an unknown vehicle. He was stopped for checking on the basis of suspicion.
The police said they recovered 250 packets of spasphen tramadol capsules i.e. 6,000 capsules. They said the accused was booked by the police under sections 22/61/85 of the NDPS Act at Sadar Khanna police station and was arrested.
The police said they were scanning records to ascertain whether he had any case had been registered against him earlier.
