Bhopal: Additional chief secretary, water resources department, Radheshyam Julania, has also been posted at the Centre. Two days ago, the order of principal secretary Vivek Agarwal’s posting on deputation at the Centre was issued. Julania has been appointed as sports secretary at the Centre.
Julania, an IAS officer of 1985 batch, was in the race for chief secretary. Julania, after appointment of SR Mohanty as chief secretary, met Chief Minister Kamal Nath and expressed his wish to go to the Centre on deputation. A significant work in water resources department took place during Julania’s tenure.
Officials close to BJP govt eyeing central tenure
The officers, who were on key posts during the BJP government, have begun to move towards the Centre with the Congress coming to the power in the state. Rishi Shukla, who was removed from the post of DGP, has been appointed as CBI, director. Some more officers in the state are waiting for Lok Sabha polls, after which they may also head towards the Centre.
