TIRUPUR: The city police have tightened security ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Perumanallur on Sunday.
On Tuesday, police commissioner S Manoharan conducted a meeting with the owners and representatives of hotels and lodges. Hotel owners were directed to follow the norms and install CCTV cameras in the entrances. They were told to record the details of lodgers and inform police if they find anything suspicious. Police have an eye on opposition parties that may stage protests by waiving black flags at the PM.
