The reality star confirmed she will appear on the upcoming season of the singing competition show on her Instagram Monday
From one reality show to another!
90 Day Fiancé‘s Evelyn Cormier has revealed that she would be living out her singing dreams as a contestant on American Idol.
Cormier, who is married David Vázquez Zermeño on the TLC series, shared the news on her Instagram Monday, after first hinting at her involvement with the show two months ago.
“Tune-in March 3rd to watch my Idol journey begin and find out what happens next!” she wrote, alongside a one-month countdown featuring American Idol‘s host Ryan Seacrest and judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie.
In December, the 90 Day Fiancé alum first announced that she had gone out for the singing competition.
Sharing a photo of herself in what appeared to be a black jacket with a yellow raincoat over her head, Cormier smiled and held up her coffee cup, as she proudly displayed her blue American Idol badge.
“**Just gunna drop this here** I auditioned for @americanidol 😱” she wrote on Instagram. “Tune in to @abcnetwork on March 3rd to see what happened! #americanidol”
Her participation on the show comes as no surprise since Cormier has been very open about her singing journey on social media.
Even before she auditioned, the reality star often shared videos of herself singing and playing guitar and, as TLC fans know, she has long performed as part of a band with her family.
Her husband has been equally as proud of her talents and occasionally posts videos of Cormier singing with her guitar on his account.

In addition to her social media singing, Cormier released her first solo EP album in 2017 called Ghost.
She then followed it up with six other singles: “Window Pains”, “A Little Wild”, “Nickels and Dimes”, “Lost”, “Eyes,” and “Yard Sale Guitar.”

Cormier and Zermeño met on social media, after he was drawn in by the aspiring singer’s talents. Together, they appeared on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé.
The Spanish native eventually popped the question to Cormier and the couple was married in October 2017 after he moved to America to be with her. They currently live together in Claremont, New Hampshire.
American Idol is set to premiere Mar. 3 on ABC.
