SURAT: A 29-year-old married man allegedly sexually assaulted a six-year-old daughter and subjected her to unnatural sex.
Pandesara police arrested the man Santosh Gupta, a resident of Avirbhav Society, after parents of girl approached the cops with a complaint.

Gupta, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was booked under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) for rape, sexual assault and unnatural sex.

On Tuesday, Gupta was watching a video in the mobile phone in his chawl and had covered himself with blanket due to cold weather. At the same time, the girl and her brother also came close to him to watch the video. They knew Gupta since he lived close to their house.

After a while, Gupta covered the minor in the blanket on the pretext of protecting her from cold and sexually assaulted her. After going home, the girl complained about pain in her private parts.

“We arrested the accused and medical examination of the girl has also been done. We are waiting for the detailed report,” said police.
