Indore: Rising crime against women in city has raised a question “Is city turning unsafe for women”? Four youths were booked in separate incidents for trying molest three women in the last 24 hours in city. Police booked a youth for molesting a married woman in Rau area on Wednesday. The woman cried for help and the accused managed to flee from spot. He could not be arrested till filing of this report.
According to Rau police, a 28-year-old married woman lodged a complaint that she was alone at her house as her husband had gone to job when a youth named Rahul entered her house and started eve teasing her. Finding his intension wrong, the woman cried for help. As neighbours reached there, the accused fled the spot.
Police said that many places were raided in search of the accused but he could not be arrested till Thursday evening. A team has been sent out to nab the accused. Bhanwarkuan police booked a youth for stalking a girl when she was on her way to home in Palda area. Girl lodged a complaint against a youth named Sanju stating that he stalked her when she was returning home from somewhere. The accused also reached her house and threatened when she objected his act. The police are investigation the case.
In another incident, Rajendra Nagar police booked two youths on the complaint of a woman on Wednesday. The girl in her complaint to police stated that she was alone at home when accused entered her house and eve teased her. The accused managed to flee from there when victim’s sister reached home.
