Pimpri Chinchwad civic body to give cash prize for unassessed property information PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: The civic body will give cash prize to citizens who will provide the details of unassessed properties.

Besides, the civic body will reduce the property tax of school buildings for the differently-abled. Short-notice resolutions in this regard have been approved by the standing committee of the civic body.

As per the scheme, the person who turns in the name of the property holder, address and details of the unassessed residential/non-residential property will be given 10% of the general tax of the given property.

“Around 10 years ago, PCMC gave cash prizes in the form of some share in evaded octroi to the department employees that helped in detecting the evasion,” Vilas Madigeri, BJP corporator and member of standing committee, said.
